Kuwaiti Danish Dairy Company KCSC (KDDC)
Read more...The existing legacy MS-DOS based handheld computers and the peripherals used were bulky, had become old, outdated and lacked performance capabilities especially after KDDC’s huge expansion in the Middle East region. Salesmen were not able to deliver the manufactured products within the allotted shift timings. Back office data transfer was considerably delayed due to several connectivity issues and sales managers were not able to monitor daily sales.
Motorola, a MS-Windows based and a reputed brand in Handheld Computing along with the Oneil Route Printers were suggested to KDDC. Motorola Computers with its integrated barcode readers, and multiple connectivity options such as GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and IrDA resolved many of their challenges.
An immediate improvement was noticed in their daily sales routes. Salesmen were more efficient and satisfied than before as this system was much faster and less bulky. Back office communication and handling of computer systems was much faster and better.
